Counterfeit notes rejected at Albany ATM

Albany Advertiser

A series of $50 notes were recently rejected by an Albany ATM as counterfeit, according to Albany Police.

Police posted the photo on their Twitter page this morning of the suspect notes.

Senior Constable Dean Bristow said counterfeit notes could be spotted by their darker look, thinner cut and their stuck-on window.

Earlier this year a Perth woman faced fraud charges after allegedly using counterfeit money at a number of Albany businesses.
