Passionate rider Kattrina Anderson is a worthy recipient of Community TAB’s Hearts and Horses scholarship.

This scholarship provides Anderson with the opportunity to continue to ride at fortnightly lessons at HorsePower Denmark. The scholarship is designed to help riders access vital therapy that Horsepower Australia provides.

Anderson has a mild intellectual disability and programs run by HorsePower Australia offer her the chance to develop new skills and abilities by participating in activities in her community.

Her support worker, Kirsty, drives the 100km round trip each fortnight to help Anderson and make sure she enjoys spending time in the saddle.

Anderson has a close bond with horses and loves spending time them which provides her a sense of calmness.

“Going horseriding is one of my favourite activities to do,” she said.

“I love all the horses and being out in the fresh air and riding.”

HorsePower Denmark thanked Community TAB for supporting Anderson and the Horsepower Australia Hearts and Horses scholarship program.
