Collection of artworks sure to amaze

A beautiful winter exhibition at Vancouver Arts Centre is celebrating the local talent of Albany Art Group.

Amazing Art is now in its third year and displays a range of styles of work, from realism to abstracts.

Artist and Albany Arts Group president Suzanne Randall said the paintings showcased the diverse collection of creations by members of the group.

“We’ve got watercolours, oils, lots of acrylics, and pastels, so there really is something for everyone,” she said.

“Some of the pastel drawings are exquisite.”

The group is made up of 54 members, most of whom are retired artists, but it has hopes to expand and new members of all ages are welcome.

The items displayed are all available for purchase and the exhibition is open until July 28.
