The green lawns of Princess Royal Sailing Club will transform into a sea of white on February 14 for the annual White Lunch in the Park for Albany Sailability.

Dressed in their finest white attire, attendees will gather under the gum trees at tables of 10 for a picnic lunch to raise vital funds for Albany’s all-inclusive sailing program.

The program runs every year from February- December, with more than 50 volunteers helping people of all abilities get out on the water and experience the joys of sailing.

It is hoped this year’s festivities will feature tunes by Perth band Fragments, who are set to play a line-up of eclectic crowd-pleasers from the 1950s to the 1980s.

The band specialises in covers of Hank Marvin and The Shadows, with young singer Sophie Hawes to be joined by band members Wayne Thomas, Ron Banks, Michael Hardy and Simon Tee.

Each table is also tasked with creating their most extravagant white table display, with $300 up for grabs for the winners.

Tickets are $20 a person, with all funds used to keep Albany Sailability afloat for another year. Visit prsc.com.au.
