City of Albany launches Antenno app to give residents more effective avenue for reporting and updates

The City of Albany launched a new app this week to help make it easier for residents to report issues with city-managed infrastructure and get notified on updates around Albany. The new app, called Antenno, was launched on Monday and is free to download. It is designed to give residents a more efficient way to report maintenance concerns and damage to public infrastructure to the city, and stay informed about things happening in their local area. Residents can report a range of issues from potholes to damage to public facilities like park benches, public toilets and streetlights, graffiti, or illegal dumping. The app also includes updates from the city on important things happening around Albany. Residents can receive notifications through the app for events and road closures, bushfire warnings, and bin collection reminders, giving locals a way to keep up to date from their phones. Once downloaded, residents can tailor the app to places around the city that are important to them. Users can register locations such as their home, work, or children’s schools, and get notifications relevant to those areas, rather than for the entire city. Albany mayor Greg Stocks said the app was a new way to improve communication between the city and residents. “Antenno makes it easier than ever for our community to connect with the City of Albany,” he said. “Whether it’s reporting a pothole, flagging damage to local infrastructure or staying up to date with important alerts, this app puts information and services directly into the hands of our residents. “The ability to personalise notifications means residents will only receive updates that matter to them. “It’s a smarter, more targeted way of communicating, and it helps our community stay informed without being overwhelmed.” Antenno is available on the App Store and Google Play.
