City of Albany executive steps down

City of Albany executive director of community services Susan Kay has stepped down from her role after more than two years with the City. Ms Kay joined the City in late 2017 after working in several leadership roles across the public and private health sectors. Before joining the City as one of three executive staff members, she led the Great Southern branch of the WA Country Health Service for more than five years. City of Albany chief executive Andrew Sharpe said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City would not immediately fill her position but would “consider options at the appropriate time”. “Susan had been with the City for over two years, and was responsible for overseeing the Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre, library, Vancouver Arts Centre, National Anzac Centre, daycare centre, communications and events team, and community development and engagement team,” he said. “The City wishes Susan well for the future and acknowledges her contributions to the City.”
