A lotto ticket bought in Albany is now worth $852,722 after Brooks Garden News sold a division one Saturday Lotto winner.

The Albany ticket was one of two division one winners sold in WA and seven across the country for the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

Brooks Garden News owner Liz Castieau said it was “next-level exciting” to sell a division one winner.

“They haven’t come in and scanned their ticket, so we are waiting,” she said.

“Because it is an unregistered ticket, we have no idea who has won it, so we are holding our breath every time someone comes in to check.

“We would like to think it’s one of our loyal customers.

“It is a life-changing amount, it can set you up for life.”

While the store has previously sold division one-winning scratchies, this is the first time they have helped someone hit the lotto jackpot.

The Saturday Lotto draw had a total prize pool of $18,238,183.

WA’s other division one winner was sold at Ballajura News in Perth.

The winner numbers were 42, 2, 7, 28, 16, 30, (22), (35).
