Cats pounce on the Saints in Southern Districts Junior Football Association under-12s competition

A commanding performance has helped the Cats emerge with a 51-point win against the Saints in round 13 of the Southern Districts Junior Football Association on Saturday. The Cats gained the upper-hand early with Angus Russell tackling well in midfield while setting his teammates up going the other way. Cats’ Miles Deutschmann was also prolific in the 9.6 (60) to 1.3 (9) triumph. Meanwhile, Magpies White continued their superb form following their 13-point victory over Magpies Black to consolidate top spot on the SDJFA ladder on Friday. Magpies Black fell short in their fifth defeat of the season, 3.8 (26) to 6.3 (39). Elsewhere, Bulls caused a major upset, moving past Eagles with a 34-point victory to notch their third win of the season on Friday. The Bulls had failed to register a win in their previous nine matches after going 3-0 to start the season but a dominant display saw them return to the winning column with a 9.5 (59) to 4.1 (25) victory. In the final fixture in the under-12s competition, the Swans were 14-point winners against the Lions on Saturday. The Swans recorded their third win of the year, 3.6 (24) to 1.4 (10).
