Car crash victim recovering in hospital
The family of a boy injured in a car crash near Mt Barker nine days ago have begun raising funds to assist in his rehabilitation.
Zeth Steicke, 7, sustained serious head injuries after being thrown from the back seat of the car which hit a tree and rolled on Albany Highway on August 12.
A three-year-old girl who was also a passenger in the back and the driver, a 30-year-old woman were uninjured.
Zeth remains in Princess Margaret Hospital after undergoing surgery for a fractured skull last week and is expected to remain in hospital for the next four weeks.
The family have set up a gofundme page with hope of raising $6000.
