The Albany Advertiser footballer of the year voting will go silent for the final three rounds of the Great Southern Football League season, with two players locked together on 15 votes at the top of the leaderboard.

After 12 rounds of the regular season, Railways midfielder Logan Stubber and Royals ball-winner Cameron Allison are equal leaders in the annual award.

The pair from the top two teams in the GSFL have been crucial to their respective teams securing a second semifinal berth.

Logan Stubber and Allison sit just one vote clear of Lions star Michael McGlade, while Tigers captain Bodhi Stubber is three votes behind the leading pair.

That quartet were locked together after nine rounds, but Logan Stubber and Allison have polled in two games since then to move clear.

Logan Stubber polled three votes in the Tigers’ win over Albany while polling one vote in round 11 against North Albany.

Allison secured two votes after the Lions beat Mt Barker and then the Tigers in the past fortnight to re-join Logan Stubber on top.

McGlade was judged best on ground in the Lions’ victory over the Bulls in round 11, while Bodhi Stubber received one vote against the Sharks.

Denmark-Walpole dynamo Jayden Woods remains on 10 votes while Tigers’ Jayden Scott picked up two votes against the Kangas to move to nine.

Sharks duo Brett Peake and Cameron Jones are next in the pack with eight votes apiece. Five players who sit on six votes and mathematically could still win the award.

After each league game Advertiser journalists covering that game award a 3-2-1 voting system.

Voting goes in-house for the final three rounds of the home-and-away season and the winner will be announced on Kleemann Medal night.
