Call for nominations for Albany

Nominations for the 2017 City of Albany Local Government elections open next week with six positions on the council up for grabs.

Albany Mayor Dennis Wellington encouraged people to nominate to help improve the city.

“We would love to see a diverse range of candidates representing our community this year to ensure great outcomes for Albany,” he said.

The City will run a number of information sessions for interested people.

Monday, August 28: 6pm – 7.30pm, City of Albany Civic Rooms

Tuesday, August 29: 7.30am – 9am, City of Albany Civic Rooms

Wednesday, August 30: 6pm – 7.30pm, Wellstead Community Resource Centre

Thursday, August 31: 6pm – 7.30pm, Bornholm Hall
