Bushfire warning for residents in Marbelup

Water bombers and ground crews are battling a bushfire in Marbelup, west of Albany.

The fire was reported just before 3pm near the intersection of South Coast Highway and Marbelup North Road and is burning in fast ina north westerly direction.

Abushfire Watch and Act has been issued for people in an area bounded by Hunwick Road to the north, Howell Road to the east, South Coast Highway to the south and Corio Road.

24 fire fighters are battling the blaze which has already burned 90ha of bushland.
