Bushfire sparks up in Redmond

A bush fire which burnt 25 hectares in a Redmond last week has sparked up again this morning.

A bushfire advice has been issued for people in the vicinity of Redmond West Road and Hunwick Road in the City of Albany.

There is no threat to lives or homes but there is smoke in the area.

The fire started last week near Hunwick Road and is being treated as suspicious.

Fire crews are taking advantage of favourable conditions to burn out pockets and secure the fire boundary to make the area safe.

People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Police Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
