Blues, Kings and Warriors all remain undefeated in the Albany and Districts Cricket Association under-14s comp

After two rounds of the Albany and Districts Cricket Association under-14s competition, three teams remain undefeated.

After winning their first game by a resounding 150 runs, Blues again put on a clinic with the bat, surpassing 200 runs for the second straight week.

An unbeaten 51 off 31 balls from Teague Valli helped Blues set up the imposing total of 4-205 off 36 overs against Plantagenet Green.

Blues put on 110 for their second wicket, while Valli and Matt Thompson put together 57 to help their side reach 200.

Thompson supported Valli with 27 while Davey Wignall added 20.

In reply Plantagenet Green lost 4-8 and there biggest partnership was 27 for the fifth wicket as they finished on 9-71 off 26.1 overs, 134 runs shy of Blues total.

Jonty Bolto top scored with 15 while fellow opener Cameron Walsh chipped in with 12.

Brock Wilkinson, Charlie Cousins and Phillip Moody each claimed two wickets for Blues.

Kings proved too strong for Griffins, winning by 58 runs.

Kings fell to 2-11 but recovered to get to 3-106 through middle-order cameos from O’Shea Durack (19no), Riley Bessen (21no), Marcus Leckie (14no) and Peter Darmody (29).

Kings finished their innings on 6-141 off 36 overs. Griffins were bowled out for 83 in reply.

Warriors produced a brilliant bowling performance against Redbacks to hang on to a thrilling nine-run victory.

Warriors were bowled out for 89 and in reply Redbacks had moved to 6-77 before three wickets from Merlin Bew secured the win for Warriors. Bew took three of the last four wickets to bowl Redbacks out for 80.

Redbacks lost their their last four wickets for three runs.

Bew finished with 3-10 while Cooper Edwards claimed 2-5, Regan Christensen top scored for Redbacks with 13.

Rory Luscombe (21) and Devon Jefferis (20) helped Warriors make 89 to remain undefeated, Bryden Guelfi took 2-6.

Denmark notched their first win of the season with a 44-run victory over Plantagenet White.

A brilliant 51 off 33 from Jackson Ross guided Denmark to 4-130 batting first.

Tom Dente-Bright took 2-9 for Plantagenet White.

In reply, Plantagenet White finished on 9-86 with Ryan Bedford top scoring with 27.
