A young Denmark family lost their home in a fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Firefighters were called to the home at the corner of Mt Shadforth Road and Hardy Street just after 2.30am.

About 15 firefighters attended from Denmark Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service, Shire of Denmark Bush Fire Brigade, and Albany Fire and Rescue Service.

The house was destroyed, with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services estimating the damage at $350,000.

It is understood the occupants — a young family with three children — were not home at the time.

No one was hurt.
