Blaze at Cheynes Beach
A fire sparked in scrubland at Cheynes Beach on New Year’s Eve was quickly extinguished by fire crews.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the blaze was reported at 10.12pm on Sunday and attended by Manypeaks Volunteer Bushfire Brigade.
It was extinguished by 11.14pm. The cause of the fire was not yet known.
