Baby joy and pride for first-time parents

Proud parents Lois Kaye and Todd James marked the new year with the arrival of their little boy William Maxwell Innes.

William was the first baby born in Albany for 2017, arriving at 2am on New Year’s Day. Born at Albany Health Campus, William is the couple’s first child. He weighed 4.3kg and measured 52cm.

Proud mum, Lois said she knew he was going to be a 2017 baby.

“He was due on January 2, but I’m glad he came a day early — it makes his birthday more special,” she said.

Ms Kaye said she was looking forward to bringing her little bundle of joy home.

The proud parents said the baby’s name was going to be William Maxwell to honour both sides of their family.
