Great food and Albany’s finest beer with unite aboard the Brig Amity in April for the Taste Great Southern’s Wish You Were Beer event.

Liberte’s chef and owner Amy Hamilton will plate the region’s best seafood and the fast-growing Wilson Brewing Company will create a special beer for the night.

Wilson Brewing’s sales and marketing manager Rob Quayle said the beer was a great palate cleanser when paired with seafood.

“The lovely ladies from Liberte will be doing some awesome food and they are familiar with our beers so there will be some great food pairing,” he said.

“I’m looking forward to the night, it should be a great event with local beers and local food.”

Mr Quayle said Taste Great Southern was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the region’s produce.

“It’s a really great thing for Albany, we are really lucky down here in the Great Southern, we have a lot of awesome producers so to be able to showcase them is great, and we are loving being a part of it.”

Aside from the food, froth and fun, guests are also in for a treat with performances from the Shantymen and Shantylillies.
