Albany Surf Life Saving Club warn of door knocking scam

Albany Advertiser

The Albany Surf Life Saving Club and Albany Police are warning residents of a door knocking scam in the local area.

ASLSC president Rob Mason said there was no official fundraising being run by the club.

“Both Albany SLSC and local police have received information relating to people going door to door seeking donations on behalf of Surf Life Saving,” he said.

“There are no official fundraising activities currently taking place in Albany.

“Please do not give these people money- there are no fundraising activities in Albany in August so even if they have the correct clothing they are not meant to be collecting in Albany this month.

A Spencer Park couple shared a video of a pair of women who knocked on their door on Friday, requesting money for Surflife Saving.
