Albany Netball Association set to hit the court for first time in 2021 season after round one postponed
A week later than expected, players are set to hit the court in the Albany Netball Association this Saturday to start the 2021 season.
Round one last Saturday was postponed because of the COVID-19 lockdown in the Perth and Peel region, affecting people who had been in those areas and had travelled back to Albany.
However, ANA president Trish Hines said the competition was all good to go this Saturday.
The ANA will start its season with round-two fixtures and they will play a make-up round on a Sunday to accommodate the round-one fixtures that were not able to be played.
Hines said a date would be confirmed for the rescheduled opening round but teams are encouraged to play-off on a training night at a time mutually convenient to both teams.
The A1 competition has eight teams and includes promoted sides Bullets 1 and Narrikup 2.
ANA A1 Fixtures — Round Two on Saturday
Railways 1 v Bullets 1 - 1pm
Royals Saints 1 v Narrikup 1 - 1pm
Magpies 1 v Grammer Griffins 1 - 2.30pm
Narrikup 2 v Kangas 1 - 4pm
