Albany equals coldest January day
Albany has shivered through its equal coldest January day since records began.
As at 4pm, the south coast city hit a maximum of just 17C today, equalling the lowest January maximum of 17C set on January 5, 1969.
It comes as a low pressure system brought cold and strong winds to the region.
Power was cut to more than 2,000 homes on Wednesday.
