Albany Community Hospice will host its inaugural Spring Garden Party in Narrikup next month.

Celebrating the coming of the warmer months, the event will be held at Birchwood Gardens.

Birchwood Gardens is a bed and breakfast situated on a working Angus beef farm south of the Narrikup townsite.

The owners have created 2ha of landscaped gardens at the edge of Lake Nyandyeetup.

“We are excited to present the Spring Garden Party and the ambience will be enhanced with music from accomplished musicians and there will be generous serves of food and local wines,” hospice fundraising committee member Deb Zafir said.

“Birchwood Gardens are extensive with a natural lake and many garden rooms.”

The Spring Garden Party will run from 3-6pm on Saturday, November 5.

“This is an opportunity to support the Albany Community Hospice and have fun at the same time, so gather your friends together for a wonderful time,” Ms Zafir said.

Proceeds will go towards the hospice which provides palliative care and specialist medical support to improve the quality of life for people with terminal, incurable illness.

Fundraising is essential to sustain the hospice, which has been community-owned-and operated since it opened in 1990.
