Albany Carpet Court named business of the year

Albany Carpet Court has taken out the Great Southern Business of the Year at the Albany Chamber of Commerce and Industry Great Southern Business Awards for 2018.

Announced at the Albany Entertainment Centre last night, they were among 13 businesses announced as winners in various categories.

The Business Person of the year went to Kim Tyrer from Galafrey Wines, and Katie Sweetnam from DK Hospitality was named the young Business Person of the Year.

The Customer Service Award went to Zara Leusciatti from Espresso One, with runner-up awarded to Luke Cameron from Albany District Insurance Brokers.

Karen Barnett from Retravison Albany won the Employee of the Year Award, Ocean and Paddock won the Special Recognition Award and Wilson Brewing Company took out the Start-up and Innovation Award.

Worklink WA was awarded the Community Business Award and Hazel Blake Portrait won Home Based.

The 0-4 Employees category was awarded to Alkaline Café, Albany Carpet Court took out their second award for the 5-10 Employee category, and Schlager Homes were winners of the 11-20 Employees award.
