Albany Basketball Association make one grand final and have two all-stars at the Basketball WA Country Champs

Albany Basketball Association had four representative teams during week one of the Basketball WA Country Championships in Perth last weekend.

Albany sent away two boys’ teams along with two girls’ sides and made one grand final from the respective grades.

The under-12 girls’ championship division were able to progress to the grand final after winning three of their four qualifying games to finish second in the standings.

However, Albany were no match for Mandurah in the final, going down 47-4.

The under-12 girls’ division-two team were victorious in one game from their five qualifying rounds.

Albany’s under-12 championship-division boys’ team won half of their qualifying games to finish fourth.

In the under-13 boys’ competition, Albany notched one win from five matches.

Dakota Dimer (under-12 girls) and Teague Ellis (under-12 boys) won all-star honours for their efforts across the weekend.
