Albany and Districts Nathan Crudeli and Upper Great Southern’s Dylan Kirk named in country week all-stars team

Albany and Districts Cricket Association star Nathan Crudeli leads an impressive list of names announced in the WA Country Cricket Board’s senior country week all-stars team last week. Standout Upper Great Southern Cricket Association batter Dylan Kirk was also named in the 12-man team that was selected after the week-long carnival in Perth last month. Nathan Crudeli had a stellar carnival for the Whalers, scoring the most runs across A-division while Kirk finished second. The damaging Albany and Districts all-rounder made 278 runs at an average of 55.6 and took nine wickets at an average of 10.11 over five matches. His outstanding week included scores of 106, 71 and 50. Kirk was a shining light for Upper Great Southern with 211 runs at an average of 52.75, as he made 93 against Albany and Districts to go with scores of 72 and 40. He also claimed a wicket, took two catches and had a run-out. A-section champions Bunbury and Districts had four players named in the squad, including former Albany and Districts cricketer Julian Crudeli who smashed a superb century in the grand final. West Pilbara competed in B-section and had three players named in the team. C-grade champions Newman had talented batter Calum How selected after he blasted two centuries in the week and made 362 runs in total. The team is selected based on a points system from runs scored, catches, stumpings and wickets taken, and there are weightings according to what section teams played in.
