ADCA 2024-25: Fixtures drop with A-grade grand final rematch between Lions & Bulls highlighting opening round

A grand final rematch marks the opening round of the Albany and Districts Cricket Association A-grade season after the fixtures were released this week. Royals and Mt Barker have been powerhouses of the competition in recent seasons, facing off in each of the last four A-grade grand finals, and it was the Lions that reigned supreme to claim a ledger-squaring premiership victory back in March. The Bulls will get their chance at early redemption over their spiteful arch-rivals when the ADCA season starts on Saturday, October 19. The season begins with one-day matches and in the other A-grade game, Railways will play Collingwood Park while Manypeaks have the bye. The first round of the five T20 fixtures throughout the season start on December 6 with the last match before the grand final on January 31. The regular season in the A-grade competition concludes on March 8 before a two-week finals series with the top three sides again taking part. In the B-grade competition Railways host Royals at Tigerland, Collingwood Park will take on Denmark on Turf South and Narrikup will travel to Mt Barker to take on the Bulls at Sounness Park and Manypeaks have the bye on Saturday week. The major change to the B-grade competition is there are no T20 matches and teams play each other twice across a 14-round home and away season. The C-grade competition which has added new club Albany Sharks also starts on October 19 with a grand final rematch between Denmark and Collingwood Park at McLean Park, Royals square off with Railways at Centennial Park and Narrikup host the newly-formed Sharks while Manypeaks have the bye.
