With just three rounds to play in the Albany and Districts Cricket Association A-grade season the ferocious battle for the final top three spots is heating up.

Mt Barker, who sit top of the ladder with a seven-point cushion to Royals in second, will take on Railways at Turf North on Saturday while Collingwood Park plays Manypeaks at Turf East.

Fresh off a demolition job of the Lions last Saturday, the Bulls will be eager to snatch a win against the desperate Tigers, which would put them in the box seat for another grand final berth.

A win would push the Bulls 13 points clear of the Lions, who have the bye this Saturday, with one game left in their regular season.

After losing to Park last week, the Tigers sit third and have their rivals breathing down their necks in the race for finals.

With the Tigers holding a five-point buffer over Park with only two games compared with their rival’s three, the pressure is mounting for both teams to secure crucial wins.

The last-placed Peaks come at an auspicious time for Park, who have recaptured their one-day form in the round just gone, defeating Tigers by 31 runs.
