ADCA 2023-24: Competition returns with T20 doubleheader before country week and special GSCA fixtures in town

The Albany and Districts Cricket Association returns to action on Saturday for rounds 11 and 12 before country week starts later this month. After the Christmas and New Year break had many catching T20 fever during the Southern Smash tournament, the competition will return with two T20 rounds. Round 11 begins at 12.15pm, with Collingwood Park taking on Manypeaks at Turf North and Mt Barker hosting Railways at Turf South. Round 12 starts at 3.30pm when the Tigers play Park, while the Lions do battle with the Bulls. The Bulls will be without stars Jeremy Wood and Nathan Crudeli, who are currently on Country XI duties with WA along with Lions all-rounder Lincoln Joy. The Tigers will be without talented all-rounder Julian Crudeli for both fixtures after he suffered a nasty hamstring injury over the break. The Great Southern Cricket Association will also return this weekend for the first time since December 9. Albany’s turf grounds will host two fixtures at 12.45pm on Sunday to prepare players for the turf pitches they will play on at senior country week in Perth. Reigning premiers Broomehill will face Kojonup at the Turf North in a top-of-the-table clash, with the winner to move a game clear in first place, while Tambellup will play Kendenup at Turf South. Australs will host Wanderers in Katanning on Saturday at 12.45pm.
