35-year-old Bremer Bay man charged for child abuse material after AFP search

A Bremer Bay man has been arrested after Federal police allegedly found child abuse material on his phone during a search of his home. The Australian Federal Police confirmed in a statement on Monday that a 35-year-old man from Bremer Bay was arrested and charged after a search by police on January 20. The search allegedly uncovered child abuse material on the man’s phone. He has been charged with one count of possessing child abuse material and two counts of accessing child abuse material. The man is expected to next appear in Albany Magistrates Court on Monday.
