2yo boy injured in crash

A two-year-old boy sustained a head injury in a crash near Walpole on Sunday afternoon.

About 1.40pm, the driver of a 2003 Subaru Forester was travelling east along Allen Road, north of the Walpole town site.

As the vehicle approached Jacksonii Avenue, it left the road and hit a tree.

The 39-year-old male driver was not injured in the crash, however a two-year-old boy who was sitting in the rear passenger seat received a serious head injury.

The boy was taken to Albany Regional Hospital then flown by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Perth Children’s Hospital.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash or saw the Forester travelling in the area before the incident.
