Perched on the doorstep of sensational Hyde Park, this 1917 charmer stands out from the crowd with a unique heritage dating back to WWI.

The home was owned by George Vincent, the Chief Draftsman of the former Lands Department, who named Vincent Street after himself in 1876.

He was also the original grantee of north-side land, east of Charles Street and inspired the name for the City of Vincent.

His former property is a masterful product of its time and impresses on a coveted 597sqm inner-city block.

On the large parcel sits an otherworldly redbrick home, with a gated front porch, a water fountain and lovely monochrome pavement.

Through the stained glass front door, visitors are invited to walk down a long, royal-looking corridor, complete with polished floorboards and sparkling chandeliers.

The first two doors on the left open up to 108 Vincent Street’s cosy master and a secondary bedroom, while the first door on the right is bedroom number three which borders the spacious living room.

A large, character-laden bathroom sits at the end of the hallway, before the corridor leads through to an open-plan kitchen and dining area.

Though wonderfully connected, the space still feels separated through clever design techniques such as soaring recessed ceilings and jutting walls.

This manages to give each room distinction, despite the spaces all enjoying uniform flooring and a pastel-toned colour palette.

At the back of the kitchen and dining area, an entranceway exposes a beautiful sunroom sandwiched between a laundry and another minor bedroom.

From here, visitors can access the home’s low-maintenance backyard and be surprised by the spacious granny flat.

“The granny flat has one bedroom and one bathroom, so it’s perfect for families with intergenerational living arrangements,” The Agency Perth Property Partner Corey Adamson said.

“It would also make a fantastic Airbnb.

“Being on a corner block, this home boasts plenty of space, and pictures really don’t do it justice.

“The rooms are huge – the main living area was actually built as a ballroom, so that should tell you.”

The home’s outdoor area is complete with a verandah running up the right side of the house, with entry points to the third minor bedroom, the living room and the kitchen.

While the home is not abundant with green space, it is directly across the road from Hyde Park – a North Perth jewel that is always bustling with markets, weddings and events.

From Vincent Street, buyers won’t have to walk too far to grab a bagel at a popular breakfast cafe or to enjoy nightlife at one of the dozen venues on nearby Beaufort Street.

Mr Adamson said the home was right in the middle of everything and perfect for buyers who enjoyed amenity-rich locations.

“You could get a coffee at a new cafe every day for a long time before you run out of options,” he said.
