Construction is set to begin soon on Norup + Wilson’s much-anticipated Grandton Applecross development, with the aim to re-imagine seniors living.

With the development proving immensely popular among prospective buyers, a recent move to a unique strata-titled form of ownership over a lease-for-life model has only served to sweeten the deal.

According to Norup + Wilson Director John Norup, the change to ownership was a welcome one for those looking to downsize and live their life in an easy living and care-free environment.

“Our existing buyers who have reserved their apartment couldn’t have been happier when they got the news,” he said.

“Their search for the best place to retire led them to Grandton Applecross, but in the back of their minds they were generally not fully comfortable with the lease model. So we listened to them and changed it.”

Mr Norup said switching to a strata model meant residents retained ownership and the potential for capital growth, and would not have to deal with deferred fees or exit fees.

With this peace of mind, residents will be able to fully enjoy the development and its personal and professional care services set up to empower them to live their life their way.

With a vision to create architecturally designed luxury apartments to suit each resident’s personal needs and enable them to age in place, each abode, and the development at large, has been designed to be highly adaptable.

Residents will be able to access a variety of amenities depending on their needs, such as care services linked to allied health professionals, including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians and podiatrists.

These services will extend to rehabilitation programs, post-operative surgery and other specialised care, as well as respite, clinical nursing, home maintenance, domestic assistance and personal care.

Additionally, Grandton will offer a food service which will provide nutritious well-presented meals from the restaurant located on the ground floor, and a laundry service to make at-home retirement living a breeze.

Inside each apartment, delicate consideration has been given to every detail to make retirement living easy. Functionality meets beautiful design, with spacious floor plans with larger than normal bedrooms and bathrooms, extensive joinery throughout and high ceilings.

Additionally, the development has been designed to achieve a high level of sustainability and has been awarded a five-star Green Star rating.

Communal areas and amenities include access to a heated indoor swimming pool, perfect for aqua aerobics, a yoga/wellness room, beauty, hairdressing and day spa services, lounges, dining facilities, several private zones within the rooftop tranquillity garden and a ground-floor lounge and piazza area linked to the vibrant Applecross community.

With the design phase almost complete, Mr Norup said the team was pleased to be moving into the construction phase.

“PACT, which is a part of Dale Alcock’s ABN Group and a WA-owned building company, has been awarded the construction contract, with work commencing in the coming weeks,” he said.

“Buyers can access a 50 per cent rebate on their stamp duty for off-the-plan purchases.

“This government offer will terminate once construction commences, so get in now to make this substantial saving.”

Grandton Applecross is now a Strata-Titled Retirement Village with no “Exit Fees”. Construction commencing this month. Call 0478 576 736 for an information pack.
