Currently a popular option among buyers in the western suburbs, Edge Visionary Living’s recently completed Eden West in Floreat took home two awards at the UDIA WA 2021 Awards for Excellence this month.

Designed by Hillam Architects, the 100-apartment development towering over five levels was honoured with the High Density Award for Excellence and the Russel Perry Award for Urban Development Excellence.

Edge Visionary Living Managing Director Gavin Hawkins said Eden was designed with the western suburbs downsizer in mind, with almost 95 per cent of the development’s residents coming from immediate surrounding suburbs.

Mr Hawkins said he thought the major drivers for the success of the development were the fact the apartments were 30 per cent larger than what was available in the wider market, the generous indoor-outdoor living areas and the residents’ amenities.

“Most of all we are buoyed by the wonderful community spirit that has been developed and nurtured by the 350 like-minded owner-occupiers that have been calling Eden home for the past couple of months since completion,” he said.

“It is fantastic to see residents enjoying the benefits of quality urban infill in such an exclusive lakeside location.”

With over 85 per cent of apartments sold before the construction was completed, take-up has since grown to 95 per cent.

“We are seeing many buyers take advantage of the positive market conditions to put their house on the market,” Mr Hawkins said.

“Eden West represents a timely opportunity for buyers to transition into an apartment lifestyle.

“At Eden, residents have spectacular amenities that are significantly superior to any home, without the headache of ongoing maintenance and costs.”

Residents of the pristine complex are able to enjoy luxurious amenities within, including a 25m heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room, gymnasium and yoga studio.

More relaxation-based opportunities can be found through the multiple alfresco and formal lounge and dining areas, the sunset terrace, wine cellar, book retreat, games room and cinema.

Venturing outside of the development, just as many delights will be found. Set to be located on the corner of Fishline View and Meagher Drive, Eden by Cup & Co will be a parkside cafe, expected to become a social hub for residents, the community and visitors to the park.

“Just 3km from the beach and 7km to the CBD, Eden offers the convenience of proximity to shopping hotspots and recreational sporting clubs and opportunities for activity and community engagement among like-minded residents,” Mr Hawkins said.

With prices starting from $1,695,000, there is currently a limited selection of three and four-bedroom penthouses, along with private two-storey townhouses.
