The benefits of clean drinking water cannot be understated for both its health benefits and the elimination of build-up around taps and sinks.

On the benefits of installing a water filter in your home or business, Water Filter Warehouse Owner Rod Richardson said the clean taste supported more regular water consumption.

“If water is filtered people will drink more of it – it’s as simple as that,” he said.

“If it tastes better, kids will drink it without having to put cordial in it.

“Chlorine in the drinking water is a necessity – if we didn’t have it we’d all get ill, but in some areas the chlorine levels are higher than in others because of old pipework or if you’re in a cul-de-sac.”

Mr Richardson’s company has 7500 Western Australian households and businesses on its books and its trades use masks and wipes to maximise hygiene at a time of heightened awareness.

Water Filter Warehouse is also currently offering free system installation for those who make a purchase.

“There’s no added cost there,” Mr Richardson said.

“If they ring up and ask how much an under-sink system is, the quote we give includes supply and installation.

“That can save people quite a bit of money with plumbing. We’ve got our own plumbers who come out and install it.”

On the commercial side of the business, Mr Richardson said filtered water was beneficial for everything from minesites needing clean drinking water to dentists and doctors sterilising their materials.

Car washes, tinting services and fast food equipment all benefit from access to pure water.

“It’s amazing when you start to look at the amount of people who need pure filtered water,” Mr Richardson said.
