Luxury Hamptons meets Australian beachside living in this stylish display by Stannard Homes.

Drawing inspiration from its namesake location, the Cottesloe introduces a chic blend of coastal colours and elements.

“The Cottesloe was inspired by the classic Australian beach house, with contemporary Queenslander influences and gentle hints of Victorian-era style,” Stannard Homes General Manager Glenn Stannard said.

Elegant from the outset, the elevation is adorned with timber accents and decorative verandah details in crisp white, with the hallmark Hamptons look underscored by horizontal weatherboard cladding to the top storey.

A hardy steel roof provides the necessary hint of Australiana while retaining the home’s showstopping street presence.

A vast verandah spans the ground floor, perfect for cooling off in the warmer months or staying clear of a downpour in winter.

Inside, the home’s entrance is pared back with calm, warm tones and a soaring void overhead.

Creamy whites and muted greys abound in the front-facing lounge room, complete with centrepiece lighting and chateau-style, timber-look tile.

“The colour scheme is light and bright, with complementing accents to help highlight the home without overpowering,” Mr Stannard said.

Adjacent is the master bedroom, which is nothing short of a resort-style retreat. Built-in cabinetry is in keeping with the home’s style, while a large walk-in robe is ideal for any shopaholic.

The accompanying ensuite is simply exquisite, with floor-to-ceiling marble tiling, a rainfall shower sectioned in a glass alcove and a freestanding bath complete with industrial fittings.

Also on the first floor is the standout open-plan kitchen, family and dining area with plenty of windows to let natural sunlight pour in.

“The home has so many features, but my particular favourite is the interaction between the rear kitchen, family and meals to the outdoor entertaining areas,” Mr Stannard said.

Heavy on industrial fittings and finishes, the kitchen features Miele cookware, a premium Caesarstone benchtop, Argent tapware and European Ceramics specialty tiling. Sleek cabinetry provides a minimalist feel, with cupboard space that seems to blend in with the charcoal greys and bohemian whites.

The indoors blend with the outdoors through bi-folding glass doors, which reveal a picturesque alfresco area able to be utilised year-round with a warming fireplace and built-in barbecue area.

Back inside, the family area stays true to the coastal theme and introduces an contemporary edge, with crisp whites and concrete flooring.

“We were very mindful of the selections throughout the home to achieve the overall look and function,” Mr Stannard said.

Upstairs the remaining four bedrooms form an enviable guest or children’s wing, catered to by two bathrooms. The two front bedrooms enjoy walk-in robes and a shared balcony space, perfect for unwinding while enjoying a tree-lined view.

“The Cottesloe is great for families of all sizes and can be adapted to suit any lifestyle requirements,” Mr Stannard said.

This point is further illustrated by the home theatre, perched in-between the bedrooms to draw the whole family together for movie nights.

“The Cottesloe was designed over a period of time to carefully consider many aspects, from cross-flow ventilation, personal movement and space considerations, to block orientation to ensure ample natural light,” Mr Stannard said.

The Cottesloe display home is no longer open for viewing but versions of the home are available to build.
