A South Australian is $20m richer this holiday period after their Powerball numbers were drawn on Christmas Day.

Officials from The Lott are searching for the lucky winner after their numbers were drawn as families sat down to enjoy their Christmas feasts.

The ticket was unregistered, meaning the winner was unable to be contacted and may not be aware of the huge windfall and will need to come forward to reclaim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased in Adelaide, at Colonnades Lotto Kiosk in Noarlunga Centre.

It’s the equal biggest lottery prize to land in South Australia in 2025.

“Our elusive winner is likely oblivious to the fact they became a multi-millionaire on Christmas Day,” The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said.

“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Powerball ticket from Colannades Lotto Kiosk to check their tickets today.”

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1545 on Thursday were 7, 23, 29, 20, 11, 16 and 17. The all-important Powerball number was 17.
