Spare Parts Puppet Theatre brings the beloved children’s book by Mem Fox and Julie Vivas to the stage. Set in an old people’s home, the story explores the bond between a young boy, Wilfrid, and his friend, 96-year-old Miss Nancy. The story is told through hand-crafted life-sized puppets.

Uncover a trail of egg-cellent Easter fun from Perth Cultural Centre to Yagan Square that includes stories, craft, live music, giant flowers, glitter and chocolate and a meeting with the Easter bunny. The event kicks off with free story time sessions and creative craft activities at the Perth Cultural Centre. Here, participants will receive an Easter trail map to make their own way to Yagan Square where the fun continues near the digital tower.

Block Party Easter Sunday

This massive party is taking over several venues across Leederville. With six areas and five stages, there will be plenty of opportunities to dance your way into the long weekend Monday . House, rock anthems, dance music and disco will all get the crowd dancing. The Leederville Hotel, Daisy’s, Servo Yard, The Garden and Evergreens are co-hosting the event.

Cooking with Opera: Pasta Workshop

Learn how to make two authentic pasta dishes - Pasta alla Norma and Spaghetti alla Turridù which were named after two iconic opera characters, Norma from Bellini’s opera of the same name and Turridù from Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana. Prior to cooking, guests will enjoy a cocktail and light Italian refreshments. The pasta dishes will be eaten together in a long table dinner in Accent Cafe’s alfresco area followed by a showstopping operatic treat for dessert.
