Fremantle based band San Cisco have given us a glimpse of their upcoming fourth album with the release of their new single — that comes with a side of social-distancing.

On The Line was filmed in WA as social distancing restrictions were eased and marks a welcome departure from the face masks, jigsaws and sourdough bread baking that have become hallmarks of the past months.

The video shows the three-piece all getting ready to see each other again in something that feels both uniquely Perth and entirely relatable.

“We were super excited to be able to come out of isolation and join together as a band for the first time in months to shoot this video. It was such a fun day of filming with a great crew,” guitarist and vocalist Jordi Davieson said.

“We appreciate that at the moment not everyone is as lucky as us, here in Western Australia, to be able to come together in this way. We really hope that those who can’t, will be able to reconnect with loved ones safely soon.”

The video clip embraces the current restrictions brought on by the coronavirus pandemic with foot taps and social-distancing among some of the modified behaviour.

As restrictions continue to ease it could be that clips like this become more normal and move on from at home performances and live streams.

Jordi Davieson plays guitar and vocals on the track while Scarlet Stevens shares vocals while playing drums and Josh Biondillo features on guitar.

On The Line follows on from their recently released Flaws EP in March and once again encapsulates their indie-pop sound.

The band were forced to cancel or reschedule their upcoming shows, but they will perform for SOTAstream, live from Freo Social as part of the WA Day celebrations on June 1.
