New trailer for RAMS, the star-studded film shot in the Great Southern
The star-studded WA film RAMS has just released its first new trailer.
The film has not been assigned a release date, but promises to hit “cinemas soon” once they reopen.
Sweeping panoramic views of the Great Southern region, particularly rocky outcrops around Albany and the Stirling Ranges, can be seen in the latest sneak peek of the feature film.
Stars Sam Neill, Michael Caton and Asher Keddie all relocated to Mount Barker to shoot the flick back in 2018, that will be set in “remote Western Australia.”
The film, based on a 2015 Icelandic drama film of the same name, sees Neill and Caton play two estranged brothers at war, raising competing flocks of sheep that descend from their family’s prized bloodline.
When one of the brother’s winning rams is diagnosed with a rare lethal illness, authorities step in and order the purge of every sheep in the valley.
Jeremy Sims, who is behind titles like The Last Cab to Darwin, directed the film.
