The former West Coast Eagles legend’s resume continues to grow after he signed on with Mix94.5 for an exclusive radio deal on the Pete and Kymba Breakfast show.

Cousins will appear on the show each Wednesday for a segment called Bensday Wednesday, joining hosts Pete Curulli and Kymba Cahill to chat about all things AFL, his Dancing with the Stars journey and any other topics the team throws his way.

Occasionally joining Pete and Kymba on air last year, Cousins became a hit with the station’s avid listeners with his witty segment Worst Joke Bensday and appearance on the 24-hour show.

His radio fans can now get hyped for his return with this new weekly segment, which is billed to become a “must-listen” chat.

Pete and Kymba said of Cousins’ addition: “Ben is a great addition to our team in 2024. He was already a friend of the show last year, but now that he’s signed an actual contract with Mix94.5, we can say that he’s an official friend of the show. Now that’s a whole new level of friendship!”

On joining the team in a more permanent capacity, Cousins said: “I am stoked to be a regular on the Pete & Kymba Breakfast show this year; they’re a great team to work with.

“I’m sure they’ll keep me on my toes because you never know what type of scenario they’re going to throw you in. A few weeks ago, I wasn’t expecting to be singing Taylor Swift songs live on the radio, but somehow, I found myself in that exact scenario!”

Weeks into rehearsals for Dancing With The Stars, there will be lots to talk about.

Cousins, who is also a Channel Seven sports presenter, spoke at a network function last month when he revealed how he had fared in rehearsals so far.

“It’s been really hard,” he said.

“It’s a very steep learning curve, and I’m covering a lot of content.”

Cousins said he signed on to DWTS before talking with his old Eagles teammate David Wirrpanda, who took part in the 10th season of the show in 2010.
