Billionaire Laurence Escalante enters luxury supercar business with 19 vehicles on sale

Billionaire and well-known motoring aficionado Laurence Escalante is going into the luxury supercar business with an initial offering of 19 top-end vehicles as part of a new commercial operation. The founder of Virtual Gaming Worlds, Mr Escalante launched Lance East Exotics on Tuesday comprising a luxury wholesale and retail motor dealership. The business forms part of his family office Lance East Office group. The cars available for sale include three Bugattis — including a 2023 Chiron Super Sport — and three Ferraris and three Lamborghinis. Many of the cars have hardly been driven, with only about 1100km on the Chiron. A spokesman for Mr Escalante’s private office said the new business was undertaking a phased launch with an initial inventory of around 20 vehicles, all of which were held by the dealership’s entities. “Nothing has changed with regards to Mr Escalante’s personal vehicle collection, which, if anything, has continued to grow,” he said. The spokesman added there was a lack of competition in the luxury sports car market, particularly in Perth. “(The dealership) has a dedicated management team and will specialise in the ultra-luxury, high performance super cars, ultra-high performance hyper cars and ultra-rare and limited vehicles,” he said. Mr Escalante is a noted supercar enthusiast with a liking for luxury. Last year, his billion-dollar online casino business, VGW, struck a three-year, $110 million sponsorship deal with Ferrari’s Formula One racing team.
